Our role on both these projects is as an Independent Commissioning Agent to satisfy the Green Star requirements.

This building located on Macquarie University campus is intended to be a purpose-designed research facility into hearing and related speech and language disorders. It includes an anechoic chamber, lecture theatre, Magneto Encephalograph, and specialist hearing rooms.

The building is built with two separate wings over six stories with 20,000m² NLA.

The project has achieved a 5 Star Green Star GBCA Office V3 Design rating and will be aiming to achieve a 5 Star As Built rating.

The building has a traditional water-cooled chillers and gas fired heating water boiler however the chilled water system is connected to the sites 1,000,000L TES or low temperature water storage facility to allow load shedding of the chillers in peak energy periods.

Completion will be December, 2012.
